Video Search Engine Using Dual-media Segmentation
نویسندگان
چکیده
Most work in the area of segmentation of broadcast material has concentrated solely on the video element of the media. This paper looks at an algorithm which, in addition, utilises the audio track as a means of identifying meaningful scene breaks. This work is set in the context of a web-based video search engine that is demonstrated using broadcast news, and the effectiveness of the algorithm as a story boundary detector is evaluated.

Dynamic Segmentation Of Videos Based on Spatio-Temporal Pyramid Matching In Large Scale Video Retrieval System
Tremendous growth in the field of multimedia technology has headed to large and detailed multimedia databases. Broadcasting of digital video content on different media brings the search of copies in large video databases to a new critical issue. Content Based Copy Detection (CBCD) presents an alternative to the watermarking approach to identify video sequences and to solve this challenge.Multim...

متن کاملA fully automated content-based video search engine supporting spatiotemporal queries
The rapidity with which digital information, particularly video, is being generated has necessitated the development of tools for efficient search of these media. Content-based visual queries have been primarily focused on still image retrieval. In this paper, we propose a novel, interactive system on the Web, based on the visual paradigm, with spatiotemporal attributes playing a key role in vi...

With more and more video resources shared on the Web, the practice of sharing a video object from a certain time point (deep-linking) has been implemented by many video sharing platforms. With so many media fragments created, annotated and shared, however, indexing video objects on a fine-grained level on the Web scale is still not implemented by major search engines.
